About Greet & Keep

Greet & Keep, Inc. started in March 2006. The owner, Julia Walter had been looking for a niche business to start. Four years ago, she and a neighbor were commiserating how neither had the time to mail out endless stacks of Christmas cards to family and friends.

Eureka! A business idea was incubated! After researching the market thoroughly, Julia realized there was indeed an untapped market for personal, tasteful corporate mailings and of course, those endless stacks of Christmas cards to be sent out each year.

Julia became trained in the business by a company which specialized in providing custom-designed software in mailing programs for the business world. After her intensive coursework with this Denver-based firm, she was ready to invest in the equipment and gorgeous card inventory in order to begin her business, “Greet & Keep, Inc.”

As an Ashland Alliance member, Julia took a leadership development program in 2006, CLD, that the Alliance offers, which has helped her immensely in understanding the demographics of the tri-state area. She is currently helping to plan the 2007 Community Leadership Development Program with other graduates from the previous years. Julia also serves on the advisory board for the ‘Bridges’ magazine, which has a readership of 17,000.

A very important part of Julia’s company is giving back to the community. She is proud to offer special pricing for non-profit organizations and now that her children are older, she takes great satisfaction in being involved in community outreach programs.

Julia lives in Greenup County, Kentucky with her husband Chris, of twenty years and her two children, Briana, 17 and Clint, 11. She has weakness for stray kittens and makes a mean banana bread. The family enjoys attending car shows and spending time in the great outdoors.
